I am at lake Texoma, a large lake with not many sand beaches, but usually dirt, mud or clay. I anchor off about 50'from where I want to be and back in with drive up till I hit shallows and then pull in the anchor a foot to stay out of the mud and then anchor off the stern too. then we usually raft up several boats side by side all with the swim platforms and ladders to the beach. A 2900 would be hard to un-beach due to weight; intakes for the head and others tend to get clogged; also recommend getting a keel guard too as suggested above. Happy Boating Rudy in Texoma 2500scr
