The second of my stock bilge pump failed, looks like these little gadgets rust up and freeze after 4 years... and it triggered the circuit breaker at the helm (3700)... unfortunately, when these breakers pop, you can't barely see that they pop and the little boots prevent you from resetting it...
Lesson learned...use a thin object to check the breaker...
I spent a good hour tracing the circuit, pulling the switches, breaker panel... before noticing this!
Also wondering what Maxum designers were thinking when they hid the rear bilge pump under the generator where you can't even see it. I had to remove it by feel and was able to reroute the wire and hose to get enogh slack to put a Rule 2000 a foot forward where it can be seen...
on a boat so well designed and engineered, it's odd to see such a dumb mistake!
